Common questions

Where are my photos stored?

Original photos and editable documents are stored in the app. Files saved to Photos or shared elsewhere are separate copies. Export anything you want to keep before deleting the app.

The camera or photo saving does not work.

Check Ppicut’s camera and add-to-Photos permissions in iPhone Settings. You can also select a photo to edit without using the camera. If storage is full, free some space and try again.

My HALF invitation does not open.

A HALF invitation normally lasts 24 hours and can be accepted by one person. Ask the photographer for a new invitation if the link has already been used, closed or expired. You can select a photo if the browser camera is unavailable.

The CHAOS shutter does not respond.

The photographer must enable the remote shutter while on the camera screen. Leaving that screen or disconnecting disarms it. Reconnect and ask the photographer to enable it again. Late shutter commands are not replayed.

How do I restore my purchases?

Sign in to the App Store with the Apple Account used for your purchase, then choose Restore Purchases in Ppicut’s Settings or Styles. A style pack unlocks exports for that pack. Remove Ads removes automatic ads; optional reward ads and other style packs are separate. Check the product name and price in Apple’s purchase sheet before buying.

How do I request a refund?

For Apple In-App Purchases, follow Apple’s refund instructions. Apple determines eligibility and processes the request.

How do I delete photos or shared data?

Delete a work from your in-app gallery. Delete copies exported to Photos or other apps separately. The photographer can use Delete Temporary Room in Settings to close the current room and request deletion of temporary photos. Copies already saved on another person’s device cannot be remotely deleted.
